We collect information in the following ways depending on your role:

• Event Organizers: When you register an account, we collect your name, email address, password (securely hashed), and billing information (processed securely through Stripe or Apple's App Store via RevenueCat).
• Event Guests: You may use our service without an account by scanning a QR code. We may collect your display name and email address if the Event Organizer requires it for the event, along with the photos you upload.
• Device and Usage Data: We automatically collect standard diagnostic data such as IP address, browser type, and operating system when you interact with our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information strictly to provide and improve the PovSnaps experience, specifically to:

• Host and display the event photos you upload on real-time carousels and shared galleries.
• Process subscription upgrades and payments.
• Send important notifications regarding event status or account security.
• Ensure compliance with event limits (e.g., photo or guest limits based on the organizer's active plan).

3. Photo Ownership and Sharing

Photos uploaded by guests are instantly shared to the Organizer's event dashboard and public gallery. The Event Organizer retains ultimate administrative control over the uploaded photos, including the ability to delete them or lock them behind paywalls according to their subscription plan limits. We do not use your personal event photos for marketing or public promotion without your explicit consent.

4. Data Retention

We retain event photos and associated data as long as the Event Organizer's account remains active and the event is hosted on our platform. Event Organizers may delete events or specific photos at any time, which will permanently remove them from our active servers.

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers to help operate our business:

• Stripe & RevenueCat: For secure payment processing. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
• Cloud Storage: For securely hosting the uploaded photos.

These third parties are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection agreements.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. If you are a guest and wish to have a photo removed, we recommend contacting the Event Organizer first. For account deletion requests, Organizers may contact us directly.
